The workshop was conceived as a laboratory for the relationship between a document and its representation on stage. It began with participants interviewing one another. The interviews were then transformed into monologues.

The transcript became a score for presence. The rhythm of each voice carried traces of what had happened between two people while they were talking. On stage, we could ask which meanings belonged to that first encounter, and which appeared only now, because someone else was listening.

The work led to questions about the limits of interpretation and the responsibility of speaking someone else’s story aloud. Doubt became a research tool. It helped us leave the document slightly open, so it could still be read again — and perhaps understood differently.
